One Song

An archival quality giclée print made by The Print Space, of an original painting by artist and illustrator, Ayesha Gamiet. 

Brightly coloured birds, both real and imaginary inhabit this fantastical and mysterious forest. Inspired by the words of the Persian poet Jalaluddin Rumi, 'One Song' speaks of the unity that underlies our external differences. The original painting was made using shell gold, pigments, and gouache, crafted by hand using traditional techniques from illuminated Islamic manuscripts, and Persian and Indian miniature painting. This meditative artwork will transport you to a place of peace and beauty. Because sometimes we all need a sanctuary to escape to, even if it is just within our imagination.
